Solid brass tap

• Brass tap is secured with marine-grade silicone to insure proper adhesion and wear

• Fits standard 5/8” garden hose connection. Attach a drip irrigation (soaker)hose to the barrel for constant watering of the surrounding landscape.

• Attach a second tap to your barrel for additional hose attachments and irrigation options. Other barrels on the market do not offer this versatility.

Lid on the Blackwater barrel

New for 2009: Optional 1" overflow spout on any barrel   This feature can be added to any barrel as a back-up overflow system to handle storm surge conditions. The 1" ID spout (inside diameter) will need to be attached to a hose with the same ID as the spout. • Every model comes with an overflow spout. Placement of this spout and the size of the spout are dependant on which side of the barrel you wish to drain from, and the volume of rain water in a storm surge. Most barrels will drain properly with a ½”  overflow spout.

• You can attach a section of garden hose to the spout to drain into an adjoining garden or a linked rain barrel
   

 

 

• The 2-piece lid is key to our design at Rob's Rain Barrels. It is designed to be secure yet accessible for easy cleaning. Simply remove the lid and dump the contents. The 2-piece lid screws on to all our models. This insures a tight fit for the lid, to deter tampering with the barrel.

• Mosquitoes cannot penetrate the screen; this reduces the risk of West Nile.
